I paint because I have a passion to do so. That passion began in early childhood and continues to grow to this day. I love everything about it...the creative process, the ability to express emotions, the blending of color and the smell of paint. I can't imagine a world without it. It is who I am and what I do. The subject matter of my paintings ranges from contemporary cityscapes and landscapes to contemplative figure studies. They are a chronicle of both my life experience and my imagination. My style of painting is realism and my technique has been called "photo-impressionistic". Perspective, depth and value are key components of my work, as well as the use of color to create the illusion of light to set the mood of the piece. I live in the Metroplex area, working full time as a painter. I earned my BFA from The Laguna College of Art and Design. My name is  Michael Longhofer  and my hope is that I'll be accepted into a master's program in the future. My commissioned works include landscapes, portraits and murals.

Tullio Ceccato from Asolo (50 km north of Venice), Italy, is  a post-impressionist painter  and a true son of the Venetian land that gave birth to such great artists as Giorgione, Titian, Veronese, Canova and many others. His subjects include countryside and city landscapes (his favorites being Venice and hills of Asolo), flowers, still-lifes, nudes and portraits; all exclusively painted from life. He is a particularly able colorists with an excellent painting technique in oil, watercolour and pastel. Each painting is unique, as the artist catches the moment which inspires him and then interprets the subject thus expressing the emotions it evokes by means of brushstrokes and colours. In 40 years of his career he has had exhibitions in many European countries and the US. Besides, his works can be found in Canada, Australia and South America.
